Cloudzy Partners With UCalgary Racing Following UCR-03 Podium Finish

Cloudzy has partnered with UCalgary Racing, the University of Calgary’s Formula SAE Electric team, joining the sponsors supporting the team’s 2025–26 competition season.

The partnership comes during a strong season for UCalgary Racing and its latest electric car, UCR-03. At the Formula Hybrid + Electric Competition at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in April, the team finished 3rd overall in the EV class out of 23 teams in its first appearance at the event. UCR-03 also placed 2nd in Endurance and 3rd in both Acceleration and Autocross.

Founded in 1999, UCalgary Racing is an interdisciplinary student team that designs and manufactures open-wheel race cars for international university engineering competitions. The program gives students hands-on experience across vehicle design, electrical systems, manufacturing, aerodynamics, simulation and business operations.

Following its New Hampshire result, the team is preparing UCR-03 for Formula SAE competition in Michigan.

Cloudzy is supporting UCalgary Racing through its Education Program, which provides qualifying university teams and research projects with access to cloud infrastructure and complimentary cloud credits.
