Access
Open https://<SERVER_IP> and complete the Rocket.Chat setup wizard to create the administrator account. The default TLS certificate is self-signed, so your browser will show a certificate warning on first access.
For mobile and desktop apps, configure a real domain with a publicly trusted TLS certificate. SMTP is not configured by default; set it under Administration → Settings → Email → SMTP to enable password resets, invitations, and notification emails.
Management
Install directory: /root/rocketchat
Compose files: /root/rocketchat/compose.*.yml
Check status: cd /root/rocketchat && docker compose ps
Restart: cd /root/rocketchat && docker compose restart
Rocket.Chat logs: cd /root/rocketchat && docker compose logs -f rocketchat
MongoDB logs: cd /root/rocketchat && docker compose logs -f mongodb
NGINX configuration: /etc/nginx/sites-available/rocketchat
